I know that I’m not even interested in my bachelors anymore, since I’m heartily considering double majoring in English and Comparative Literature. I know that it will take me at least 5 years to get both degrees. I already have a year and a half down.
And BA’s do not suffice for the job I want, a Masters degree is expected. So there’s 2 more years. And thats only for one Masters…and that would be in English.
Then, hopefully that’s enough and I can teach English at a high school level while I work on my Ph.D, which is what I really want. Which is roughly another 3-4 years.
And then after that, I can teach college. Like I have ALWAYS wanted. So I’m looking at minimum 9.5 years of school left?

I’ll be about 28. With a Ph.D.

Oh, and don’t even get me started on the loans I’ll have accumulated.
